1st National Bank of Scotia promotes Robert J. Dieterich, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
SCOTIA (April 19, 2006) - 1st National Bank of Scotia proudly announces the promotion of Robert J. Dieterich, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Dieterich, has been part of 1st National for 13 years, most recently serving as Vice President, Finance.
As Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Dieterich will be responsible for portfolio and risk management, the pricing of deposit rates, and will also act as President of 1st National Bank Financial Services, the bank's insurance subsidiary. Throughout his tenure at 1st National, Mr. Dieterich has used his experience with investments and as a manager to analyze economic outlooks and to help the Bank make appropriate financial decisions.
Mr. Dieterich enjoys the family atmosphere at 1st National where, "...decisions are made at every level to protect our customers interests, not just our profits."
Mr. Dieterich is a graduate of Plattsburgh State University, where he earned a degree in Business Management. He is currently an Officer in the 109th Airlift Wing out of Scotia. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, he was deployed to Mississippi to aid in the relief effort. Mr. Dieterich resides in Glenville with his wife and two daughters.
