1st National Bank of Scotia promotes Greg Phillips, Vice President


SCOTIA (May 1, 2006) - 1st National Bank of Scotia proudly announces the promotion of Greg Phillips, Vice President. Mr. Phillips has been part of the 1st National team for ten years, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President.

As Vice President, Mr. Phillips will assist business customers in all aspects of borrowing, from the preparation of loan applications to servicing ongoing relationships and business development at 1st National. He hopes to, "continue to improve the value I give to our customers, while contributing to the growth of a Bank that truly has a great deal to offer."

Mr. Phillips has gained significant experience in areas such as financial analysis, loan underwriting, business development, equipment finance, SBA loans, lines of credit, commercial mortgages and business acquisitions during his time at 1st National. Over the years he has, "earned a great deal of experience by dealing with the day-to-day needs of our commercial customers, while constantly seeking the advice and counsel of those who have been down my road before."

According to Mr. Phillips, 1st National provides a higher level of customer service than other banks. "Our officers are accessible by phone, e-mail, and at our branches. We have excellent turn-around time on loan applications, because our loan committee meets daily at our main branch in Scotia."

Mr. Phillips is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Mr. Phillips resides in Glenville with his wife and four sons where he is actively involved in the Glenville Rotary Club.
