LOCAL BANK APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR
(September 11, 2007) - Louis H. Buhrmaster, Chairman and CEO of First National Bank of Scotia, announced the appointment of a new director to the bank’s Board. Scott D. Stevens, President of Dimension Fabricators, has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by the passing of Terence Morris.
“We’re pleased to have Scott join us. He brings a good perspective of our banking community and years of business experience to his position on the board here at the bank”, Mr. Buhrmaster stated.
Mr. Stevens holds a degree from SUNY Buffalo in Civil Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer with a concentration in structures. He is a member of the board of directors of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) and holds membership in the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the American Concrete Institute as well as a number of local professional organizations.
Dimension Fabricators is a steel products manufacturing company based in Schenectady, NY. Among its many notable projects are the Lake Placid Luge run, the Boston Central Artery, The RPI Experimental Media Center and a number of sizeable highway bridges throughout the northeastern United States.
In addition to his business commitments and memberships, Mr. Stevens currently serves on the Deans’ Advisory Council at the University of Buffalo and the Executive Board of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute. Mr. Stevens is also active in Junior Achievement and is a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, an organization that arranges free air transportation for needy patients and health care organizations.
Mr. Stevens resides in Scotia with this wife, Coleen and their three sons, Greg, Todd, and Dan.
